# Bitelings

> Bitelings ("Starting Solids: Bitelings" on the App Store) is an iPhone app for parents starting solid foods with a baby aged about 6 to 24 months: how to serve each first food safely at every age, a food log and tracker, and step-by-step introduction of the nine common allergens. The food guide, tracker, progress and all allergen steps are free. It works offline and needs no account.

## What it is

- A native iOS app (iPhone, iOS 17 or later) for baby-led weaning (BLW), purees or a mix of both.
- Offline-first: the food guide and the baby's log live on the iPhone. No Bitelings account, no sign-up.
- Privacy: no ads, no account. Anonymous usage stats (parents can turn them off; off by default in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland) and crash reports via Firebase, never linked to the parent's name or the baby's details. Details: https://bitelings.app/privacy
- Optional iCloud sync and backup in the parent's own private iCloud account, and free caregiver sharing (a partner, nanny or grandparent sees and edits the same log) through Apple's iCloud sharing.
